A group of Purton Wl ladies had an excellent day out, to Marston, near Devizes. Our Hostess, Pam Lewis, was not only an excellent cook and enthusiastic gardener, but also a flower arranger. Ham and salad for lunch and a choice of puddings, as much tea/coffee as you could want – and a glorious garden. And, unbelievably, the sun shone the whole day. We enjoyed a lesson in flower arranging, more and more tea and featherweight cakes, a generous raffle with the flowers as prizes. Everything presented with goodwill and affection and we haven’t had such a good time since the last WI do
